Teach Logic.
Logic seems to be apparent or a “given” in education, but logic and reasoning are often not explained in a manner that will appeal to all types of individual learning styles and needs. Teaching logic should not be something reserved for MBA students or decision management directors and instead thought of as a life skill.
The underlying message is to create adaptable cirriculum that will appeal to the way an individual learns best. Imagine having an application that presents the same question in different ways; audible, visual, or a combination. The application will track the response time (engagement) and hit ratio by style to understand the individuals preferences and present the information in the way that complements their learning style. There is no failing when it comes to learning. There is only continual growth and education has been a one size fits all for too long. This personalization is inclusive and equitable.
Additionally, consider a greater emphasis on multidisciplinary connectivity between traditional subjects. In a changing world, adaptability will be an essential skill. Individuals that can identify opportunity quickly and be well rounded will benefit from continual change. Keeping this in mind, a new age curriculum that spans across traditional subjects to connect the dots will see modules such as intuition, logic, pattern recognition, design, and algorithms as essential learning blocks.
The idea combines machine learning to improve comprehension with a new multidisciplinary approach to enhance learning for the next generation.
